Wood has heart, wood is warm, wood is versatile, who "wooden't " want to use it?

Wood1a

When we stop and think about it, we realise just how much we need wood,
we need it's properties as much as it adorns ours!

Unless we are using wood for heating our homes, wood can always be recycled, and even then, when wood is reduced to ashes, it still has uses in the garden.

Old wood provides much needed habitat for the smaller species around us,
rotting and dead wood provides food for all sorts of beasties,

In our case, we have all sorts of uses for wood!

The link below tells you how to dispose of your wood waste,

Wood Waste?

Tin pot alley!

TinCans

Last year we struggled to find suitable plant pots that didn't cost the earth, this year we are well prepared with seedlings now being planted in individual tins!

Wool

Small Shed

We have but a few sheep and as such do not sell our wool, instead it will be used to lag indoor/outdoor piping,
be placed around the bottom of trees to keep the roots frost free,
be used to insulate some small sheds.

Corrigated Tin and Box Profile Tin

Old tin for roofs

Left over tin panels from other completed projects, can have any number of uses, here we have roofed two chicken sheds with these panels, repaired and or renewed the Dutch Barn roof & sides, built three pig sheds too!
